Jersey City Museum, with Exeter Property Co. are inviting artists and artist teams to create and build an outdoor fully functional 18-hole miniature golf course in downtown Jersey City. In the spirit of collaboration, each hole in this mini-golf course will be designed and constructed by a different artist, combining recreational functionality with a unique participatory art project. It will be located in a temporary public park at the corners of Erie Street and Pavonia Ave (adjacent to the Hamilton Square Condominiums) in Jersey City, NJ.
Jersey City Museum's 2010 Spring fundraiser, ArtRageous on the Green (the opening ceremony for the course), will invite guests to play a colorful and creative round of miniature golf, sample the city's best cuisine, taste its best wines, bid on a host of fabulous artworks and luxury items, enter a 50/50 raffle, and meet the artists who created the holes.
